Notes from wine and food expo




I went to Toronto's Wine and Food expo, it was at Metro Convention Center on November 17-20.
Lots of interesting wine from all over the world. Lots of food choice!
It was great experience and possibility to try some rare and exclusive wines.

Chateau Palmer 2006 
AC Margaux, 3 Cru- Bordeaux France

$299 at LCBO

I thought-300$! Really! I have to taste and see what is it about! And now! Now I understand! Amazing!
From a blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon and 34% Merlot, this beautiful Margaux wine is filled with floral, smoke, caramel, blackberry, earth, truffle, tobacco and plum aromatics.
Medium to high acidity balances medium level of fine tannins. Very long finish with cherry and dark berries richness.
Robert Parker gave 94 score to this wine.

Chateau Rauzan-Segla 2008 
AC Margaux, 2 Cru-Bordeaux, France



$105 at  LCBO

62% Cabernet Sauvignon and 38% Merlot

Beautiful wine.Very complex nose. Spices, tobacco, sweet fruits, very perfumy.
Dark ruby,plum colored wine, sweet tannins, medium to full body mouthfill with a long finish.
90+ from Robert Parker.
