Alicante Bouschet is cross of Petit Bouschet and Grenache.
I would say, that is something familiar of Grenache is in this wine.
Different but interesting, a bit edgy, almost rustic.
Deep ruby color.
On the nose licorice, cedar notes, red berries. Getting little floral later.
On the palate-dry, medium to full-bodied, medium tannins, balanced acidity, licorice, oak, spices, plums. Lot's of minerality, red cherries. Long, jammy finish.
